Welcome!

Founded in 1974, First Port City Bank was formed by a group of local business people who believed that the owners of a financial service organization should be made up of friends and neighbors within the community.

Since opening its doors on October 7, 1974, the owners (over 300 local stockholders) have watched the institution steadily grow year after year, from one million dollars in assets to almost 120 million. But one thing hasn't changed. The Bank’s owners have never lost their vision to keep the organization locally held and locally operated. As a result, today First Port City is the oldest independent bank headquartered in Bainbridge, Georgia.

 

 

The Bank’s colorful logo has been artistically designed to recognize the State’s first inland port along the Flint River and represents what many in the community like to call “The Rising Tide in Banking:” – CATCH THE WAVE!
