Loan Documentation Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Loan Operations Manager, the Loan Documentation Specialist’s primary function is to prepare loan documents, both accurately and efficiently, ensuring loan documentation adheres to all parameters of loan approval with no deviation. The position includes on-going assistance with management, but specifically includes strong communication and collaboration with Loan Assistants. In addition, the role requires one’s ability to demonstrate the highest credentials of professionalism, critical to the Team’s long-term performance, while also maintaining strong organizational and time management skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Acts as intermediary between Lenders, Loan Assistants and Loan Closing to accurately prepare all loan documentation to facilitate loan closings, including but not limited to: Promissory Note, Loan Agreement, Guaranty, Borrowing Resolution, Settlement Statement, Security Agreement, Deed to Secure Debt/Mortgage, Assignment of Rents, Landlord’s Waiver, Power of Attorney, Title Registration, Early Disclosures relating to Consumer Real Estate, eta.

· Initiates secondary review of loan information received from Loan Assistant, verifying fulfillment of receipt for all loan closing requirements; completeness of documentation; and measurements of compliance.

· Reviews signed loan packages, comparing to Required Loan Documentation Checklist for completeness.

· Prepares, organizes & scans the properly, prioritized, closed loan package for paperless filing, uploading to Director.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Demonstrates the highest degree of verbal & written communication skills, indicating an innate ability to effectively correspond with both internal and external clients.

· Prepares & posts on-line payments, assuring accuracy and efficiency.

· Prepares Adverse Action Notices, while conducting due diligence & review for Compliance.

· Monitors all customer information readily available for suspicious activity, reporting to BSA Officer as required.

· Performs annual maintenance of escrow accounts, including analysis and delivery of potential surplus.

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

· High School Diploma / GED / Experience

Experience

· At least 2 years of working in loan department preferred but not required
